Description: The Spirit Beast is threatening to tear its way into RuneScape, so Summer and her family need your help to stop it once and for all. You must once more venture into the Spirit Beast's Realm and, together with the elders, take on the Beast to save them (and possibly all of RuneScape).
Difficulty: Experienced
Length: Short
Requirements:
Levels:
23 Summoning
23 Woodcutting
35 Hunter
45 Mining
47 Firemaking
55 Prayer
High Hitpoints, Prayer and Woodcutting levels are recommended.
Must be able to evade and withstand attacks of a level 785 beast.
Quests:
Spirit of Summer
Items Needed: Ghostspeak amulet, Jennica's ring, a Blue charm pouch (of any kind), a Pickaxe (of any kind), a Hatchet (of any kind), a Spade, a Tinderbox, and Food (Monkfish or better).
Items recommended: Super energy potions (or access to the Oo'glog Spas), a Spotted/Spottier cape, Boots of lightness, Penance gloves, and a Games necklace.
Items acquired during the quest: 15 Cursed Willow Roots.
Quest Points: 1
Reward: 15k Firemaking XP, 10k Prayer XP, 5k Woodcutting XP, 5k Mining XP, 5k Hunter XP, 1.5k Summoning XP, the ability to wield Spirit Shields and an upgraded version of Jennica's Ring.
Start Point: Ruins north of Graveyard of Shadows (Wilderness).
To Start: Speak to Summer Bonde.
1. As you approach the ruins to start the quest, the ground will begin to shake. When you talk to Summer Bonde, she will insist that you go with her to the veil between the Spirit world and the Real world.
Note: Make sure you have your Ghostspeak amulet, Jennica's ring, a Blue charm pouch, and a Pickaxe with you.
Summer Bonde
2. Once you arrive at the veil, you will make the acquaintance of four spirits - Summer, Erik, Meranek and Jallek. The elders will explain to you that the link between the two worlds is weakening and that the Beast is trying to get through to the Real world. Erik will ask you to help defeat the Beast and tell you about a cave to the North, where they plan to attack it. It is up to you to lure the it towards the inner side of cave using souls from Spirit Pouches. Since the Beast will have learned from your previous encounter, it will not fall for the same thing again. You will have to find a new kind of Spirit.
Veil
3. Go back to the Real world and head towards the cave in level 33 Wilderness. Hit the cave entrance with your pickaxe (use its "Collapse"-option) in order to unblock the entrance in the Spirit world.
Cave Entrance
4. Enter the Spirit world and run north towards the Beast. This is the moment where you need to summon your blue charm spirit. Try to lure the Beast to the cave's entrance. When the Beast is close to the cave, enter the cave. The Beast will follow you and a cut scene will appear. Talk to Meranek to find out how to harm the Beast.
Meranek
5. Use your Games Necklace to teleport the Bounty Hunter area. Talk to the Banker and withdraw a Hatchet, a Tinderbox, a Spade, food and Energy potions. Armor and Weapons will be of no use, so do not take them with you. Once you have your items, head back to the cave in the Spirit world.
6. You must now cut 15 Cursed Willow logs from the Roots around the edges of the cave. Place the logs in 3 of the 5 empty pyres on the ground (5 logs per pyre) and light them with the Tinderbox. While you are trying to cut the roots, the Beast will attack with blows, which break into several more attacks when they hit the ground. These smaller attacks can deal up to 25 damage each. As soon as the ground rumbles (or as soon as you hear the shot) run to another root to evade the attacks. After all 3 pyres have been lit, the Beast will move further into the cave.
Note: Eat when you need to and replenish your run energy when it gets too low. Once each pyre has been lit, your progress will be saved and you may leave the cave to access a bank if necessary. Any unlit pyres with logs will be empty when you return. Therefore make sure you have the pyre(s) lit if you need to leave the cave to restock on food and energy potions. Any Cursed willow logs in your inventory will turn to normal Willow logs when you leave the Spirit world.
Roots
7. Head back to a bank in the real world by using your Games necklace. For the next part of the quest, you will need a Spade. It is also recommended that you restock on food and energy potions.
8. Make your way to the next section of the cave. In a cut scene, Jallek will inform you that the elders have succeeded in breaking through the shield protecting the Beast's chest. This shield held the energy the beast absorbed when devouring a soul. Withing the containment of this shield a creature called the Dark Core has come to life. Your next objective is to trap the Dark Core in the holes scattered around the floor. Move closer to the Beast to lure the Dark Core out of its containment. Once it is out, stand beside a hole and dig the hole out. Make sure the hole is empty when the Core comes to you, as the holes will refill quickly. Each time you trap the Dark Core, the beast will try to get it back. This is when Jallek will appear and hit the Beast with a mighty spell. After you have trapped the Dark Core in 3 holes, the Beast will move deeper into the cave.
Note: Do not stand too close to the Dark Core for too long, as it will hurt you every second. If you fail to trap the Core in one of the holes, then wait for it to pop out if the Beasts central cavity again. While trying to trap the Dark Core, the Beast will keep attacking with its blows.
Trapped Core
9. Again, you may leave the cave to restock on more supplies if necessary. You will take a LOT of damage in the final part of this quest, especially since you will be fighting in a confined area, without much space to dodge area, so be prepared!
10. Upon entering the final part of the cave, the Elders will be there and instruct you about what to do. When you are ready to start, they will all turn into different colored lights and fly towards the graves. Make note of AT LEAST TWO of the three colors and see where they go. The Beast will start charging an attack which will match one of the colors of the spirits. Run towards the grave with that same colored-spirit and 'Bless' it before the beast hits it with its blow. If you succeed, the attack will backlash and hurt the Beast. During the fight, the spirits may change graves, so make sure you are blessing the correct grave. Do not bless an empty grave, the beast will use this moment to drain your Hitpoints. In total, each of the three graves must have backlashed an attack at least once. The Beast will attack each grave in succession, so if you do everything correctly the first time, you only need to backlash three attacks.
Note: Recharge your Prayer when necessary on the altar in the cave. If you do not bless the grave before the Beast finishes charging its attack, it will shoot the charged attack, which breaks into several smaller attacks when it hits the ground. These smaller attacks can deal up to 30 damage each.
Elder Graves
11. After the three backlashed attacks, the Beast will die and Summer will appear by the altar. Speak to her and then to the Elders, who are at the entrance to this final part of the cave. They will thank you and ask you to meet them outside of the cave. Leave the cave and talk to the Elders again to receive your reward.
QUEST COMPLETED!

Yahoo News: Mechscape
See what Yahoo News has to say about the Mechscape game!
In other news, let's discuss which languages Mechscape will be in. I'm guessing English, German, and French - since of course, Jagex believe that the world has many German and French speaking people that don't know English, yet are still on the Internet. They're about 200 years backward in this thinking, since the most widely spoken language is Mandarin (Chinese), and many Mandarin speakers do not know English at all. That is a huge potential market for Mechscape, and Jagex are ignoring it.

Many Runescape guides for the price of one at Runescape Top
At first I was just impressed by the dragon at the top of Runescape Top Money Guide website, but then I bought the guide and I do not regret it. I am rich in Runescape, and I'm rich the game now. My friends respect me more, and so do my enemies.

University students need clothes in Halifax
I'm a student at Dalhousie University, no not St. Mary, but Dal. The name Dalhousie may have the word "house" in it (with "I" in the "house"), but I can tell you I don't feel at home here. I can't find any proper clothes in this city. I wanted a nice dress to wear, and maybe some shirts (not boring ones, but nice colorful ones, you know?) Oh wait, my friend is calling me...
{ 10 minutes later }
... Ok, I'm back. That was my friend calling. She said she was on Facebook and she saw an advert for a store called Chomel. And then she went to Halifax Shopping Centre (that's where it is, in front of M.A.C. and West49). Anyways, she went there and she said she bought 10 dresses for less than $200. Wow, my Armani dress cost me $800, just ONE dress! And my friend bought TEN dresses from Chomel for $200! What's going on? I'm going there right now.
{ 2 hours later }
... Ok, I just got back from Chomel and I bought 10 shirts. I couldn't pick one I liked, so I narrowed it down to 10. They're CHEAP at only $19.95. C'mon, $19 for a bombin' shirt like that! The crazy designs on the shirts are dope!!! There's one with an old guy that looks like god, another one is an eagle. And then there's this robot head. You should seriously check Chomel out sometime, unless you wanna live under a rock.
Now, I'm at home, in Chomel. ;-)

God Wars Barrows in the Chaos Tunnel with Fairy Rings
I was in the Barrows the other day and I came to the Chaos Tunnel. Good thing I brought my Fairy Ring to the God Wars otherwise I'd have lost the Fist of Guthix and also the bandos! What a shame that would be. That is no way to be a RuneHQ! So, I walked to Falador with hopes of buying a skill cape of some sort, perhaps the pirate impaling. I'm not sure. One of those. Then again, "I am a dragon slayer" I said right before starting the quest. It was great, but I soon found out I needed some Runescape Help in order to proceed. Not to worry, I popped open my achievement diary and there it was, "Monkey Madness" and I knew that I had to do it. And so I did. I did not need any runescape tips, just some help.

Runesacpe game info
Here, I'll give you some information on Runesacpe. It's not Runescape, but instead, it is another game. It is a MMORPG fantasy role-playing multiplayer dungeon with monsters to kill and players to eat. And cabbages too. Cool things happen and flash games with java applet-based games jump in front of you and you have to shoot them using your first person shooter. It is also called a strategy turn-based game because it is not one, and the quests are easy and also hard, with a grind like World of Warcraft. The best website is none other than Runescape Help which provides guides and descriptions and even databases for information on Runescape. Make sure you get the right tips at the HQ of Zybez, otherwise your realm will be in danger of being sold to gold, or even buy gold coins for Runescape! Take it easy, and have fun.

Runescape is offline
Right now, Runescape is offline and nobody can login. Runescape won't load for anybody and it's sad and depressing. We're expecting a news report soon on Runescape.com but for now, we're just going to Runescape Community for news.
Another blogger has also commented on Runescape being offline.
Be sure to visit them to see a picture (screenshot) of the login server broken.

Once again handbags swing in the face of RuneHQ
Old angry grannies beware. There is a new steel helmet in the clan world of Runescape. That particular bronze helmet is a RuneHQ in disguise of course. You're probably wondering if I made this using an automatic story creator. The answer is no. I did not. I wrote it out. My brain just developed all this stuff to write about. So where were we. Oh yes, we were just leaving Pollnivneach and realized that we need 5000 Slayer exp. Ugh. How do I get that much experience in just one day? So I walked to the Ape Atoll and opened a can of chocolate cake. It had to be baked first in Lumbridge. No problem. I had already finished the quest that is in that city to be able to use the royal baking ranges. Speaking of which, I went ranging with a buddy and PKed a whip. I made a video about it and put it on Youtube for your general convenience.
